The requirements listed below are necessary to apply for a maid or nanny visa in Dubai.
A maid’s sponsorship in Dubai is available to both men and women, on the condition that their annual wage does not go below AED 5000.
Ejari certificate for an apartment with two bedrooms.
Sponsorship for maids is restricted to the nations specified by MOHRE.
A valid United Arab Emirates resident visa is required of the sponsor.
The procedure begins with a maid visa application (entry permit). In order to apply for the final step, a visa stamp, the fitness test and Emirates ID application would need to be completed.
Documents Required to Apply for Domestic Visa
- The sponsor must provide the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai with the necessary documentation: (GDRFA).
- The application for a visa was typed at an authorised typing facility.
- If the maid is a citizen of the same nation, an affidavit of non-relationship from the embassy or consulate.
- Photocopies of the sponsor’s and the maid’s passports and visas.
- Photos of the sponsor and the maid for their passports.
- Three months’ worth of the sponsor’s bank statements.
- Copies of the labour contracts of the sponsors.
- A copy of the health insurance card of the sponsor.
- A copy of the sponsor’s tenancy agreement for an apartment with at least two bedrooms.
- Sponsor’s Certificate of Salary.
- A medical fitness certificate for the maid issued by their country.
- Note that sponsors who are UAE citizens or who are employed in the UAE government or private sector may be exempt from the aforementioned conditions.
How long is the validity of the domestic visa?
Validity of the residence visa application is as follows:
- Emirati or GCC sponsor: 2 years.
- Expat sponsor: 1 year.
- Golden Visa sponsor: 2 years.
